MSN reveals its targeting tools through its adCenter Labs project
MSN did in fact reveal some of its targeting tools in June through its adCenter Labs project. One of MSN's rival, Yahoo has offered behavioral targeting across its network for a few years, first with its Fusion and Impulse offerings, and more recently with new targeting capabilities with segments for "Engagers" and "Shoppers."

Google's new mobile search is similar to its AdWords Search bidding interface
The paid advertising portion of the platform is similar to an AdWords or Yahoo Search bidding interface. McCabe added "We have our own bidding interface. People can go in and bid for mobile-specific keywords, and those will get incorporated as sponsored links at the top or bottom of the search results.

The large increase in Internet ad spending outpaced that of all other media. Coming in second was Spanish language television, which surged by 21.7 percent, likely due to World Cup broadcasts. Spot radio, local newspaper, B2B magazines, national cable TV, FSI coupon and smaller spot TV markets each showed lower growth.
