Number of queries on MSN Live Search remains relatively flat
According to Nielsen//NetRatings' numbers, the number of queries conducted on Microsoft's
Live Search engine has remained relatively flat, while Google and Yahoo have risen by about
33 percent and 22 percent, respectively.

traffic and a larger search index than anyone else. "At Google we have a number of shortages
inside the company. One of the most acute is overall data center capacity. Google has made
large investments in hosting and storage facilities, and proprietary hardware design to help
address this inherent problem," said Schmidt.

The NBA says it plans to work with YouTube's filtering system
For a long time, media companies have been frustrated by the endless cycles of pirated
clips. Even as one is taken down, another one pops up in its place. YouTube has developed
filtering and content identification tools to specifically locate inappropriate videos, which
it has been offering to its partners and rolling out in parts. For example, the NBA said
it plans to work with YouTube's filtering system to take down the game clips that it didn't
authorize to be on the site.
