Getting more information from images and videos, Google style
For example, text in a digital image derived from an urban scene often provides information about the displayed landscape or specific location. A typical street scene would include text as part of street signs, building names, physical address numbers, window signs and a lot more. At this point in time, it may be obvious to say that if Google has found a way to index text in static images and video clips that this is a big step forward in the advancement of search technology.
